Sixteen-year-old Coulter Motorsports development driver Dylan Presnell heads to Iowa this weekend
Sixteen-year-old Coulter Motorsports development driver Dylan Presnell heads to Iowa this weekend for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East's fourth stop on the 2012 schedule - the Graham Tire 150.
Presnell will have a different look for this weekend's race, as he will trade in his No. 26 for the No. 83 AmericanMountainRentals.com Chevrolet due to Saturday's event being a combined race of both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. The Sevierville, Tenn., native has a total of 10 starts between the East and West series with an average finish of 13.1. The Graham Tire 150 marks Presnell's first start at Iowa Speedway - a .875-mile paved oval located in Newton.
Presnell will be under the direction of crew chief Jamie Rouleau, who formerly worked with Ross Kenseth, and spotter Andy Houston - full-time spotter for NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Austin Dillon. In Presnell's three K&N Pro Series East starts with Coulter Motorsports this season he has a best finish of eighth at Greenville Pickens Speedway. He is situated 13th among the championship point standings and is fifth in the running for the 2012 rookie of the year award.
"I look forward to going to Iowa this weekend and racing on a track I've never competed on before," Presnell said. "I feel good going into this weekend knowing it will be a great learning experience with Jamie Rouleau and racing with some new competition with the West competitors."
